Final Seminar of Michaelmas Term
The fourth and final seminar of Michaelmas Term will be held in hybrid format in Room 20.421 (Faculty of History, The Schwarzman Centre) on the theme Knowledge, Science, and Development across Global Contexts next Wednesday (3 December) at 2 PM GMT. Madeline White (Postdoctoral Research Associate on the Digital Global Plants project at the University of Oxford) will present a paper titled Asian Botanical Names and Images as Gateways to Early Modern British Science and Koyna Tomar (PhD Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania) will speak on Remaking Surplus and Scarcity: India’s Dairy Industrialization and the Global Surplus Food Regime, 1930–1970.
